Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing
the daily operations of the warehouse facility. They are responsible for coordinating
managing and optimizing various aspects of the warehouse including inventory
management staff supervision safety compliance and efficient workflow. The
The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that goods are received stored and shipped
accurately and timely while also maintaining a safe and organized working
environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision:
Led and managed a team of warehouse staff including reporting
attendance scheduling & training.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork
accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and coaching to staff promoting their professional
development.
2. Inventory Management:
Oversee the accurate receiving sorting and storing of incoming goods
ensuring proper documentation and tracking.
Coordinate regular inventory counts audits and cycle checks to
maintain accurate stock levels.
Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to optimize
inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
3. Order Fulfillment:
Supervise the picking packing and shipping processes to ensure
timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipments track delivery
status and address any issues that arise during transit.
4. Workflow Optimization:
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures
to streamline operations and maximize productivity.
Continuously evaluate workflow and make adjustments as needed to
improve efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
Perform the tasks of the team member/s in their absence especially
when there is a shortage of staff and a requirement of groundwork to be
done.
Perform all additional tasks assigned by the Line
Manager/Management.
5. Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety guidelines standards and best practices to maintain a
safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including OSHA and
other local safety standards.
6. Equipment Maintenance:
Coordinate maintenance and repairs for warehouse equipment such
as forklifts conveyor systems and packing machinery.
Perform routine inspections to identify potential equipment issues and
address them promptly.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inventory shipments and other relevant
data using Tally/SAGE.
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to
monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Communication:
Liaise with other departments such as procurement sales and
customer service to ensure smooth collaboration and order accuracy.
Communicate effectively with staff management and external partners
to address any operational challenges or opportunities.
