Job Description

Our Culture: Mujo Learning Systems Inc. was born in 2014 under the leadership of our President, CEO, and Lead Author, Shawn Moore. Mujo is an independent publisher of comprehensive digital marketing curriculum. We provide a comprehensive library of teacher manuals and student textbooks for both the Higher Education and High School levels. Our Vision is to lead, educate, and inspire people and businesses by empowering them with the most current, relevant, and engaging digital marketing content that can be experienced anytime, anywhere, on any device. Our Mission is to help educators advance their student’s career pathways, land high paying jobs, or start their own businesses by providing content, processes, and tools, that professionals are using in the field today.  The Candidate: Description:

  • You are an experienced writer and editor with a degree in English or another relevant field. You will be researching and using your writing skills to produce educational content for high school and higher education programs. You will collaborate closely with our production team and will be expected to deliver results in a timely manner. In addition, we welcome any fresh, new ideas that you may have. If you possess a sincere desire to learn about digital marketing and publishing, you may find this to be a great fit. Primary Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive, collaborative, and team-based culture by working with other team members to assist in achieving our goals. You will: conduct research and interviews. write and edit curricula. assist in the creation, editing, and maintenance of textbooks, PowerPoints, supplemental material, and teacher training resources. write blog posts and social media content as needed. monitor project progress and set deadlines. create reports, memos, letters, and necessary documentation. participate in strategy meetings with the senior editor and management team. prepare for meetings and presentations. perform other duties as required within the scope of the job. Qualifications Required Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, communications, journalism, or a related discipline Professional writing and editing experience, ideally in the education industry Online literacy experience Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Exceptional command of the English language both verbal and written Excellent communication skills Enthusiasm for the process of investigating, prospecting, creating, and fulfilling the President’s vision of businesses growth needs Proficient at using Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign; Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator would also be beneficial.
