Job Details
- Assist attorneys in all stages of the probate process, from initial client intake to closing the estate.
- Prepare and file probate forms, petitions, and other legal documents accurately and efficiently.
- Manage estate administration tasks, including asset valuation, creditor notifications, and distribution of assets.
- Conduct legal research on probate matters and assist in drafting legal correspondence and pleadings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and third parties to ensure timely completion of probate proceedings.
- Maintain organized case files and databases to track deadlines and document filings.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on probate law.
- Proficiency in handling probate forms and navigating probate court procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
