Our client a leading international financial institution is seeking a Legal Counsel to support their operations across Asia and the Middle East. This role is based in Dubai and offers the opportunity to work in a fastpaced environment providing specialised legal expertise in commercial contracts and regulatory matters pertinent to the wealth management sector.

Job Description:

The Legal Counsel will play a critical role in advising on legal regulatory and compliance matters ensuring the organizations operations align with local laws and corporate policies. This position involves collaboration with multiple teams to support the international operations of our client.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of areas within the wealth management business.

Draft monitor and review legal contracts and train stakeholders on their implementation.

Engage in negotiations and assist in structuring and executing complex corporate transactions.

Support the introduction of new financial products establishing legal frameworks to manage risk.

Develop and oversee the implementation of legal policies processes and procedures.

Collaborate on various projects and handle special assignments as directed by the Head of Legal for Asia & Middle East.

Deliver clear accurate and businessfocused legal support to senior management aligning with business objectives while managing legal risks.

Proactively manage legal risks anticipating issues and implementing corrective actions to protect the organizations interests across the regions.

Key Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor/Lawyer with a common law background.

13 years of postqualification experience preferably in an inhouse legal role within the financial sector.

Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.

Strong legal research and drafting skills.

Proactive selfstarter with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
