Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure SME

Location: Frisco TX 75034 Remote live in Texas, but open to outside of TX as well (TX strongly preferred)

Onsite Requirements :

• Implement the Cloud Infrastructure, Operations, DevOps, CI/CD, IaC
• Strong experience with multi-cloud environment including AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Ansible is preferred.
  

Job Description:

Role Overview:

• As the SME (Subject Matter Expert) Engineer, Cloud Engineering & Operations you will be part of Technology Services - Infrastructure and Information Security Enablement (IISE) organization reporting to our director.
• Your objective will be to implement the Cloud Infrastructure, Operations, DevOps, CI/CD. Mentoring and coaching the 24x7 team of Cloud Operations Engineers based in US, LATAM, and India is a major part of this role and key to your success.
• This is a very hands-on role, so coding is the other piece of this puzzle.
  

About The Role :

• Lead the transition from on-prem traditional infrastructure operational responsibilities to supporting a cloud-first environment.
• Support in the definition of cloud operational responsibilities including operational health, lifecycle management, capacity management & cost optimization, image & patch management, and availability & continuity.
• Implementation and automation of cloud operational responsibilities including maintaining a 24x7 model.
• Monitor and react to incidents including partnering with application owners, product engineers and cloud service provider where necessary.
• Partner with the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team to ensure continuity from build to run operations.
• Define and report on Key Performance Indicators on all aspects of the operating model on an ongoing basis
  

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in IT and Computer Science with a Development background; Networking, IAM, and Security expertise required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher education with Computer Science or related field of study preferred.
• Strong experience with multi-cloud environment including AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Ansible is preferred.
• Strong understanding of programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with ITIL and processes such as incident, request, change, configuration, and problem.
• History of meeting deadlines, collaboration across teams, and creative problem-solving
• Ability and desire to effectively mentor junior and mid-level team members
