Contracts and Claims Leader

Develop and implement project systems, processes and strategies to ensure adherence to contract schedules and monitor and ensure compliance by teams with deadlines specified in the relevant contract.
Adhere to and familiarize yourself with client processes and procedures.
Provide analysis and evaluation of claims submitted, including:
Evaluation of contracted rights.
Identify, collect and evaluate relevant facts and records, communicate with relevant teams, and provide analysis and feedback based on facts, documentation and contract requirements.
Prepare, communicate and direct strategies for resolving claims, defenses and counterclaims.
Provide independent conclusions and recommendations on claims and disputes, ensuring consideration of robust contractual, factual and commercial input.
Assess the potential and entitlement of client claims and advise accordingly.
Providing all appropriate advice and support to clients regarding disputes.
Preparing and issuing contractual letters and relevant responses to contractual letters.
Conduct audits and reviews of budgets, interim payment certificates, client approval requests for additional costs and interim payment certificates.
Manage the team to achieve common deliverables and maintain adequate project and contract records.
Oversee coordination between departments, ensure effective communication and assume shared responsibility for teams.
Provide contractual inputs to monthly reports.
Required profile of candidates

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering and a minimum of 15 years' experience.
Professional membership such as RICS, CIOB and CIArb with additional qualifications in construction contract law desirable.
