Work with Group to define and execute Aldar Estates strategy
Manage and support preparation of annual corporate income tax return and/or review of tax returns
Maintain controls by adhering to the accounting department’s policies and procedures and ensure Tax practices are in compliance with UAE financial reporting statutes, standards and financial reporting best practices.
Oversee preparation of transfer pricing documentation
Ensure robust tax compliance processes are in place across the entities
Manage the periodic and annual direct and indirect tax reporting to the authorities
Closely monitor changes to tax legislation across the region and advise on the impact of the new legislation on the Business
Identify opportunities to optimize tax positions and to mitigate tax risks
Manage relationship and responses to Tax audits initiated by the tax authorities
Manage the implementation of relevant tax updates
Provide training as needed to relevant stakeholders within Finance, Accounting, Internal Control and other departments.
Assist with requests from the tax authorities (updates on Portals, letters etc.)
Review intercompany and related party reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
Oversee and monitor all audits process for assigned area and ensure timely completion of the same.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or related fields
Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA or CTA is preferred
Min of 8+ years of experience of financial accounting and management accounting experience
Experience of accounting within real estate or related industry is preferred
Preferably with in-house experience in an Audit firm (preferably Big 4 /reputed entity)
Extensive knowledge of GCC and international tax legislations is required
Exposure to Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Transfer pricing is required
Understanding of UAE CT laws, CT registration and implementation
Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards and ERP systems
