Job Description

For our largest exclusive partner, GOT International, we urgently seek to hire a Junior Legal Counsel based in the Czech Republic, with a preference for Prague.


Primarily to assist in the provision of quality, accurate and relevant advice on a spectrum of legal matters that apply to GOT Internationals business and services offerings. The role is varied and fast-paced in an exciting and ever-evolving business and industry. The role requires a person who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved in managing small to large. Individual matters, as they are assisting in the implementation of business-wide frameworks.


Junior Paralegal Counsel reports to Chief Legal Officer.


Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review and negotiate various commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements relevant to the services of the company.
  • Counselling on the preparation of employment contracts and advising on employment matters with the support of external advisors where required.
  • Assist with GDPR and other applicable data privacy law compliance programs.
  • Assist with incorporations, corporate matters, and the management of legal matters affecting the company and its business activities, including assisting the business in ensuring the setting up and adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Team and other departments to educate internal stakeholders on compliance, legal, and data protection requirements;
  • Help manage and mitigate legal risks by assisting with the design and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintenance of the database of employment contract templates and other ancillary templates covered on a global scale and ensuring the database is up to the latest legal requirements per jurisdiction.
  • Creating documents of support relating to employment law and employee relations, including memos and template letters.
  • Support the launch of new services to ensure legal requirements are met.
  • Promote legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of legal training to the business.
  • Assist with identifying and developing non-litigious solutions to employment disputes.
  • Assist with litigations relating to employment disputes.
  • Support with deploying technologies that will assist with contract generation, tracking, and management.
  • Be abreast of legislative changes, especially those that pertain to the laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the business.
  • Liaise with and manage external lawyers/third-party providers as required.


Requirements


J.D. qualified to practice law.

3+ years of legal work experience.

Admission to any United State State Bar.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask and work independently.
