Genius Talent has partnered with a leading Med Tech company who is looking for a Director of Business Development to join their growing team. The Director of BD will be primarily responsible for the sales of data management and biostatistics. FSP experience is a plus!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute sales activities to drive market adoption and awareness of company services
- Match company capabilities and unique niche offerings to clients
- Secure and maintain professional relationships with clients, develop early visibility to new projects and business development opportunities, and liaise with technical and operational colleagues to deliver quality on-time services to our clients
- Stay abreast and react to industry news and trends
- Identify, qualify, and develop new sales leads (build the pipeline)
- Secure and manage professional relationships with clients
- Deliver sales and capabilities presentations, in person, by phone, by social media, by email
- Attend Trade Shows as required
- Provide input and to proposal development
- Negotiate and close new business, and grow existing client business
- Meet or exceed realistic sales targets
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior sales experience in the pharma/biotech space is essential, ideally with a mid-sized or large CRO
- Significant experience cultivating relationships and growing sales pipeline
- Demonstrated experience in a remote based global sales organization and driving results
- Experience in closing large revenue deals with sales cycles from 3-18 months
