Enterprise Architect (Banking domain):
Our client is a global IT services organization seeking a highly experienced and talented Enterprise Architect to join the team in London. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for all architecture decisions within the supported area and will play a crucial role in building compelling architecture strategies and roadmaps in alignment with their business objectives and technology strategy. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of various technologies and methodologies and be able to influence clients investment portfolios and the direction of major change programs to ensure strategic architecture outcomes.
Key responsibility:
- Make all architecture decisions for the area supported.
- Build compelling architecture strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with Business, Engineering, Operations, Industry and Vendors.
- Proactively drive the agenda to simplify and modernize the technology landscape.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry direction and vendor offerings to ensure their strategies capitalize on new opportunities.
- Influence investment portfolios and the direction of major change programs to ensure strategic architecture outcomes.
- Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with key business and engineering stakeholders, including CxOs.
- Be an authority for an architecture domain with deep and broad knowledge of technology, methodology and assurance techniques.
Desirable technical experience:
The ideal candidate should have a broad experience covering many of the following, with a deep knowledge of at least one.
- Cloud platform technologies covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services on Azure and GCP.
- Hybrid hosting architecture of cloud and tradition platforms including Midrange Unix and Mainframe technologies.
- API architecture standards including OpenID Connect profiles, API gateways, microservices including event-driven architectures.
- Data trends including relational, NoSQL databases, data warehouses and data lakes.
- Designing critically important systems which have challenging service parameters, for example RPO/RTO Zero.
- Broad appreciation of cybersecurity (e.g., zero trust) and the architectural implications it has on application design.
- Modern progressive technologies e.g., machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, etc.

- It is a Director level opportunity.
- To perform in the role effectively, banking particularly investment domain experience is essential.
