Responsibilities include reviewing all deliverables required at each phase of the project including, but not limited to, drawings, test procedures, weld procedures, Design Basis Memorandum s (DBM), Bills of Materials (BOM), Strength Test Pressure Report (STPR), tie-points, and collaboration with other disciplines and The Quality Control Engineer is an integral member of each project team, and they are responsible for clearly communicating their comments, issues, and reviewed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review of engineering and design for storage and process facilities (natural gas, hydrogen, crude oil, liquified natural gas, renewable natural gas, )
Review pipe and material specifications and project
Detailed review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, bills of materials, and mechanical general arrangement
Spot review of civil and structural drawings, electrical and instrumentation drawings, and controls narrative for alignment with mechanical and process scope and high-level Code
Review Line Lists for reasonable process conditions for respective systems, appropriate design and test pressures for each system, and general completeness and accuracy against the P&ID
Review engineering plans to ensure compliance with specifications, Codes, standards, and industry best
Review design of hydrostatic tests plans and records to establish the Design Pressure/MAOP of the various pipe systems per the relevant Code or
Coach and mentor others on engineering principles and best
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering Discipline from an ABET accredited
Valid Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one within the first year of
At least 8 years of relevant industry experience, with a focus on QC of facility subject matter or the design of facility project
Must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively work on multiple projects during the same time frame while working in a fast-paced
Must have excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate
Must have demonstrated strong human relations, influencing, communications and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of clients, employees, and
Extensive technical knowledge of industry codes and standards including: ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME , , , 49 CFR 192, 193 & 195)
