This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Jubail Saudi Arabia.

Job Summary

Advising planning developing and conducting AHA NBFSPQ and IFSAC Accredited Emergency Response Life Safety Structural and Industrial Fire Training programs which qualify This Company Affiliate personnel as Certified Emergency Responders in Industrial Complex Emergencies as outlined by NFPA Codes & Standards. Full attention for curriculum development in accordance with international standards. Overall delivery of AHA NBFSPQ & IFSAC accredited Emergency Response Training Programs to This Company and its affiliate companies. Advising This Company Affiliates on all matters pertaining to Fire Protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement training programs for This Company Affiliates and nonThis Company customers.
  • Develop lesson plans and course curriculum.
  • Participate in team building curriculum and field guidelines.
  • Assist in equipment forecasting for SFTC annual training demand.
  • Report damaged equipment following SFTC processes and maintain an inventory equipment list.
  • Conduct coaching for courses through both lecture and practical sessions.
  • Continually assess students standards during courses.
  • Lead and assist in the conduct of exercises and scenarios.
  • Assist in the development and design of new and existing courses as required.
  • Interact effectively with students for whom English is not their primary language and employ various teaching methods.
  • Provide credible practical examples of learning material.
  • Brief and manage support staff for training courses and exercises to ensure equipment and facilities comply with course programs.
  • Visit offshore/onshore installations for familiarization instruction or material acquisition as directed by SFTC Operations Leader.
  • Comply with relevant sections of the Companys Procedures (SHEMS) staff notices and communiques.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to safety standards for staff and trainees.
  • Attend staff development training courses both inhouse and external as determined by SFTC Management.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Relocation: Permanent relocation to Jubail Saudi Arabia.
  • Must hold a minimum of an Associate degree in Fire Science; a Bachelors degree (or equivalency) is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a fulltime fire department and training.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development at a Fire station or training institute is desirable.
  • Must possess a significant number of Fire Training Certifications including but not limited to:
    • NFPA 1001 Firefighting I & II
    • NFPA 1002 Driver Operator Pumper Driver Operator Aerial
    • NFPA 1081 Industrial Fire Brigade
    • NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Level I & II
  • Must be able to effectively relate to students and staff from diverse cultural social and educational backgrounds.
  • Must have strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Specialty experience in areas such as NFPAIncident Management system HazMat NFPA 472/NFPA 1072 NFPA 1001/1081 Building Construction NFPA 1033 Fire Prevention NFPA 1002 Apparatus Operations and Special Rescue Operations NFPA 1006 (Rope rescue I & II Confined space I & II) is highly required.
  • Teaching skills: Must embrace and demonstrate the Abilities and Standards of Teaching Excellence in the development and delivery of instruction.
