Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Vehicle Inspection Centre Operation Management
Supervises the activities of assigned technicians and cashiers on-site and ensures smooth workflow. Supervises the technical inspection programs and ensures that computer systems are ready and functional at the beginning of every shift.
Assigns technicians to the various inspection tracks periodically, to attend to customers based on the number of customers present at the site.
Prepares daily rosters for technicians, ensuring that staff in each shift has the appropriate skill mix. Coordinates with technicians to arrange for overtime, if necessary, and ensures that sufficient staff are available during peak hours and to satisfy customers. Solves all problems or issues arising relating to the same, to ensure that work objectives are achieved on time. Monitors staff attendance.
Monitors technical procedures followed during vehicle inspection, ensuring its accuracy and its compliance with company standards. Resolves any problems or issues arising during inspection and provides solutions for technical queries.
Implements technical specifications and standards of vehicle inspection laid down by the Police Department and ensures that they are adhered to. Attends to all requests from the Police Department such as coordinating the inspection of a set of vehicles for export, includes making arrangements for dedicating one track to these vehicles.
Ensures that test results are accurately updated in the system by technicians. Submits report generated by the system after testing to the customer. Explains all aspects of the test certificate and gives justification for test failure. Advises customer on the actions to be taken to overcome failure.
Attends to problems, complaints or related issues that arise among customers, cashiers and technicians. Ensures it s timely and appropriate resolution.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Higher Diploma in Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
5 7 years experience of which 2 years in supervising vehicle repair and inspection.
Proficiency in English and Arabic language
Working knowledge of MS Office
*Must have been driving the heavy vehicle
