Job Description
- Leading engineering teams by setting objectives, managing workflow, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Reviewing designs to ensure that they are feasible and meet industry standards
- Creating working drawings and models of new products or machinery designs
- Evaluating processes to identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Overseeing construction projects and communicating with contractors to ensure that deadlines are met
- Conducting research to develop new materials or products
- Developing organizational policies and procedures for engineering departments
- Directing the work of engineers and other staff members to ensure that all projects meet their deadlines
- Identifying potential projects and opportunities for growth within the company
