- Review of project scope of work and plan activities as per project plan
- Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
- Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
Manpower Management and Material Management:
- Day-today management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
- To forecast requirements for Labour, discuss and agree all Labour requirements with Project Manager to ensure that Labour costs relate to tender allowances
- Assign roles to team members and set deadlines to achieve targets
Quality and Audits
- Checking plans, IFC & shop drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
- Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per contract specifications
- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
Coordinating:
- Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, safety officers, representatives of MEP division and the general workforce involved in the project
- Liaising with the local authority (where applicable to the project) to ensure compliance/approvals with local construction regulations and by-laws
Human Resource:
- Set goals, monitor progress, and direct the workflow of the department to assure standards are met.
- Responsible for regular performance evaluations and annual review of performance expectation
- Training and development of subordinate employees to improve project performance and enhance individual career development.
- Recognize employees with potential who once trained could assume additional responsibilities
