The Dubai government permits flexible work schedules and remote work During Ramadan

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department announced the official working hours for the holy month of Ramadan, following the new weekly work system that began in January, so that the official working hours in the bodies, departments, and institutions of the Emirate of Dubai for the holy month of Ramadan begin immediately.

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department announced the official working hours for the holy month of Ramadan, per the new weekly work system that began implementation at the start of this year, so that the official working hours in the bodies, departments, and institutions of the Emirate of Dubai's hours of operation during the holy month of Ramadan will be from nine a.m. to half-past-two p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from nine a.m. to half-past-two p.m. Friday.

The department stated in a circular issued on this occasion that government agencies should specify working hours for employees who work shifts or whose jobs involve serving the public or managing public service facilities in a manner that is commensurate with each entity's operational requirements and that ensures the proper operation of public service facilities.

To strike a balance between achieving the public interest and enhancing social and family cohesion among employees and their families, the Dubai Government's Human Resources Department has permitted government agencies in Dubai to deploy flexible working and remote work systems throughout Ramadan, per Dubai's regulations governing flexible work and remote work systems.
