About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer - Mechanical to join our team in this role you will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical design packages (including HVAC plumbing drainage and firefighting systems) for high-rise commercial residential and hospitality projects while ensuring compliance with UAE authority regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed mechanical shop drawings schematics and single-line diagrams for HVAC plumbing drainage and firefighting systems in line with project specifications.

• Perform cooling/heating load calculations using HAP (or equivalent) and determine equipment capacities duct sizing and piping layouts.

• Select and specify major mechanical equipment including chillers AHUs FAHUs FCUs pumps valves and control components.

• Review design documentation against ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA and local authority standards (Dubai Municipality DCD etc.).

• Prepare BOQs material specifications technical reports and engineering design deliverables.

• Identify constructability issues issue RFIs and explore Value Engineering opportunities.

• Participate in BIM coordination meetings to ensure clash-free service routing alongside architectural structural and electrical teams.

• Assist QA/QC teams support commissioning plans and prepare final as-built drawings and handover documentation under ISO quality guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

• Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in mechanical system design for high-rise commercial residential and hospitality projects.

• GCC Experience: Minimum 5 years of GCC experience (UAE preferred).

• Registrations: Registered Engineer with the UAE Society of Engineers. Dubai Municipality (DEWA) approval required; DCD and EMAAR approvals are strong advantages.

• Software: Proficient in AutoCAD HAP and Elite. Knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM coordination tools is a major plus.

• Certifications: NFPA ASHRAE or LEED/ESTIDAMA certifications preferred.
