Time Out Abu Dhabi is looking for an energetic, ambitious Social Media Editor with a passion for building fun, engaging social media content and a proven track record of growing an audience. A key part of the Time Out GCC team, they will work alongside the editorial team and should share a journalist s eye for captivating copy, engaging content and visuals. The ideal candidate must be comfortable collaborating with a department that is both creative and technical. This innovative and mobile-first role will be driven by reacting to data insights and creating lively, shareable content. The Social Media Editor will lead and execute Time Out Abu Dhabi s social media strategy across multiple platforms, from Instagram to TikTok.

Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set and execute the brand s social media strategy across all of the brand s social channels.
- Create content for Time Out Abu Dhabi s social platforms, cementing a daily and weekly social calendar to coincide with user behaviour.
- Manage social coverage of live events, from the initial vision to execution.
- Grow the brand s audience and engagement across all channels.
- Constantly monitor analytics and adjust content and approach to meet growth goals.
- Build out, execute and constantly refine Time Out Abu Dhabi s social media strategy across the region.
- Liaise with the Abu Dhabi editorial team to establish what is needed to make a story fly across social channels from visual assets to vertical video and promotion times.
- Provide regular feedback to editors and writers on performance both successes and missed opportunities.
- Communicate how to best produce social-savvy, must-read content to the wider editorial team. Provide training and reiterate best practices to journalists to ensure quality control across all social platforms.
- Develop creative ways to grow followers and engagement, in collaboration with editorial and performance teams.
- Work closely with the wider social media teams of Time Out GCC titles to cross-promote content from across the region, as well as relay best practices and social strategy successes.
- Produce weekly performance reports for the Editor-in-Chief, Head of Content and Editorial Director.
- Meet individual weekly targets as agreed with the Head of Content and Editorial Director.
- Ensure all content produced fits within Time Out s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Work closely with Time Out s design team to develop creative concepts for marketing materials and campaigns.
- Work with the Editor-in-Chief, Head of Content and Editorial Director to ensure ALL content reflects overall content / editorial strategy.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with Time Out s commercial team and work with team leads to deliver sponsored content campaigns.
- Occasionally attend events out of hours to create social content.
