Are you a nanny able to jump in when needed and work as a team? Then this is the job for you!


This position is set to start at the end of February, after the birth of child #2. Mom is looking forward to 6 months of maternity leave to heal and adjust to life as a mom of 2. The 21-month-old loves Elmo, drawing, singing, dancing, and is a happy, silly kid! She is quick to warm up and will melt your heart with her sweet laughter. There are beautiful places nearby for outings and meeting other nannies close by. Fresh air and fun are encouraged!


This is a single-parent household, and the ideal nanny will be mature and collaborative. This position requires strong communication skills and flexibility. You may be caring for one or both children at any given time. Throughout the first six months, friends and family will be visiting to provide support, so the nanny must be able to work independently and appreciate the love and support of a village.


Mom is very hard-working and loves hiking and time with friends. She is looking forward to hiring a nanny as she had a wonderful experience with their previous nanny. Keeping both children at home is ideal for mom s healing and to limit germs and sickness in the home while the baby is developing an immune system.


At the end of 6 months, mom will return to work full-time, and a 6-month extension will be an option if everyone is on board. The nanny would then provide care for both children during working hours. This position can be live-in or live-out. If you are interested in this position, apply today!




The Details


Location: Renton, WA 98059


Start Date: Late February or Early March


Children: 21-month-old girl, newborn expected mid-February


Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week


Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm


Compensation: $25-34/hour DOE


Benefits: Guaranteed Hours + PTO (vacation, personal days, holidays) + Overtime after 40 hours + Sick Time + Mileage reimbursement + More for the right fit!


Duration: 6 months, with the potential to extend to 1 year if everyone is happy! Long-term would be ideal.

Pets: None


Driving: The nanny must have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, a responsible driving record, and a reliable car to get to/from the family s home.


Covid-19: The family will only interview nannies who are vaccinated



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide nurturing and supportive care
  • Follow the schedule as provided by the parent
  • Communicate effectively with parent
  • Prepare and wash bottles and/or pump parts as needed
  • Preparation and clean up after meals
  • Motivate and encourage children to meet milestones
  • Discuss development regularly with parent
  • Assisting with infant and toddler laundry as needed
  • Keep play areas tidy
  • Take initiative! Helping out whenever and wherever possible.

Requirements


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Be energetic and outgoing with a self-directed personality and a can do attitude
  • Have at least 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in child development
  • Have stellar references
  • Have a responsible driving record and be willing to provide a complete driving history report from the DOL
  • Infant and Child CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to renew before starting the position)
  • Willingness to submit to Background check
  • Ability to make at least a 6 month commitment
  • Non-smoking / Drug Free
  • Covid-19 vaccinated + booster shot (and willing to get booster shots as recommended by CDC)
  • Willingness to get Flu and Tdap vaccines as needed and recommended by CDC




Benefits

The family is open to benefits that include paid time off, guaranteed hours, overtime after 40 hours, accrued sick time, and mileage reimbursement. They are open to offering more to the right candidate.


Compensation: $25-34/hour, Depending on experience
