Job Description :
A Medical Coder, or Certified Professional Coder, is responsible for reviewing a patient?s medical records after a visit and translating the information into codes that insurers use to process claims from patients
Responsibilities :
1. Accounts for coding and abstracting of patient encounters, including diagnostic and procedural information, significant reportable elements, and complications.
2. Researches and analyzes data needs for reimbursement.
3. Analyzes medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies.
Qualification :
1. equivalent University/college degree, or experience medical records, claims or billing areas is an asset.
2. Previous medical office experience preferred.
3. Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization
