Job Purpose:
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will support mechanical engineering activities for Oil & Gas projects across design engineering procurement construction pre-commissioning and commissioning phases. The role will work under the guidance of senior engineers and support mechanical equipment engineering in accordance with project specifications applicable codes and standards HSE requirements and ADNOC/client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support engineering activities for static and rotating equipment including pumps compressors pressure vessels heat exchangers tanks and packaged equipment.
• Assist in preparation and review of equipment datasheets technical specifications material requisitions and engineering calculations.
• Support technical evaluation of mechanical equipment and vendor proposals under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Review vendor drawings datasheets calculations and other technical documents and follow up on comments.
• Assist in reviewing P&IDs equipment layouts mechanical drawings and equipment interfaces.
• Coordinate with Process Piping Civil/Structural Electrical Instrumentation HSE Procurement Construction and other disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews 3D model reviews constructability reviews and technical coordination meetings.
• Support resolution of mechanical technical queries during engineering procurement fabrication construction and commissioning.
• Assist in monitoring equipment manufacturing inspection testing delivery installation and preservation requirements.
• Participate in site inspections equipment installation checks alignment activities system walkdowns and mechanical completion.
• Support pre-commissioning commissioning start-up performance testing and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports engineering registers equipment lists action trackers and project documentation.
• Ensure mechanical engineering activities comply with applicable API ASME ADNOC/client specifications QA/QC requirements and HSE standards.
• Participate in technical training mentoring and competency-development programs as part of the UAE National development program.
