Estimation Engineer

Job Summary: The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for reviewing RFQ requirements for the E&I/MEP scope of modular buildings including E-houses and equipment rooms preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and developing techno-commercial proposals in line with company standards and client specifications. The role involves close coordination with clients internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout the tendering process as well as supporting project budgeting variation estimates and handover activities. The position also requires preparation of basic layout drawings and preliminary execution plans to support bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Review of enquiry requirements (RFQ documents and specifications) and RFI sheet.
Preparation of scope summary and compilation of technical queries.
Active participation during clarification meetings with Customer.
Preparation and finalization of accurate cost estimates in line with Hunter policy procedures standards and rates and in accordance with Customer requirements.
Prepare E&I/MEP quantity and material take-offs (MTOs) from single line diagrams layouts cable schedules and I/O lists.
Estimate E&I/MEP systems including LV/MV switchgear transformers UPS and battery systems lighting and small power earthing and lightning protection fire and gas detection HVAC and pressurisation.
Build up installation testing and commissioning costs using Hunter manhour norms and productivity rates.
Prepare the assumptions exclusions and qualifications for each proposal and identify technical and commercial risks with appropriate contingency.
Preparation and finalization of proposal document along with any other documentation required for the submission.
Manage the compilation of handover documents and Handover/IKOM document.
Preparation of cost estimates for variation order requests of on-going projects.
Preparation of Budgetary and Rental Proposals.
Support during preparation of Project Budget.
Preparation compilation and submission of prequalification documents.
Preparation of project execution plan and preliminary schedule for bid purposes.

Drafting (AutoCAD) of general arrangement drawings and other basic layout for bid purposes.
Preparation and issuance of RFQ documents to suppliers to get the cost and quotation required for estimation.
Any other estimation and commercial support tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 8 years experience in E&I/MEP estimation and proposal development preferably in prefabricated and modular projects.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations and international design standards.
Excellent written English for technical queries and proposal documents.
Experience with E-houses LERs substations or blast-resistant modules is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
