Education Program Manager Events Management

A new opportunity has come up for a well-known event management organization situated in Abu Dhabi. They are on the lookout for an Education Program Manager to be of assistance to the Senior Manager of the Education & Community Development Department. Your responsibilities would include:

• Communicate with all staff within the Education & Community Development and within events and other departments/sections of the organization.
  
• Communicate with schools and universities across UAE, artists, writers, speakers, government entities, arts & music organizations, cultural entities, national or International organizations, nonprofit organizations, and technical partners
  
• Responsible for coordinating the educational department s functions and resources, and ensure that all activities are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner.
  
• Responsible for delegating and monitoring the functions, goals, objectives and programs of the Education Section.
  
• Ensure the availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the Education Section including planning and executing recruitment of temporary personnel and volunteers.
  
• Perform periodic performance appraisals for the team within the Community and Education department.
  
• Identify the technological requirements of the Community and Education department section and ensure the section s processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively.
  
• Identify educational/capacity building development programs/ events for schools and universities across the UAE, such as seminars, lectures, symposiums, education, concerts, workshops etc.
  
• Liaise effectively with the production department to ensure that they have all of the information they require to deliver a successful event.
  
• Screen the potential educational development programs/ events for schools and universities against the criteria set by the organization and forward to Sr. Manager Education & Community Development for review and approval.
  
• Conduct meetings. discussions and roadshows with schools and universities across UAE, building strong working relationships with the organization s partners for educational development programs/ events and projects.
  
• Brief the production and marketing team to enable them to manage all the activities related to logistical requirements of the educational development programs/ events including visas, insurance, airline tickets, private jets, hotel/ accommodation arrangements, VIP lounge and transportation facilities and welcome kits for artists, guests, journalists, broadcast media partners (local and international TV channels, radio channels and internet) and national and international organizations, institutions and individuals.
  

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of Bachelor s Degree related to Arts or Education
  
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an Arts or Education/ public/ private organization/ foundation
  
• Willing to work longer than normal working hours (9:00AM to 6:00PM, Sunday Thursday)
