Contracts Engineer

At Al Madina Agencies & Services LLC, we are seeking a dedicated Contracts Engineer with mechanical oil and gas experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Contracts Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing the commercial, legal, and technical aspects of mechanical packages, including rotating equipment, pressure vessels, and piping, throughout the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) lifecycle. Your expertise will be crucial in bridging engineering specifications with contract law to ensure cost control and risk mitigation in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the development and implementation of contract strategies for mechanical packages.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.

- Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate terms, and draft contracts that align with project requirements.

- Monitor contract performance, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Provide guidance on contractual matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

- Support the resolution of disputes and claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing contracts within the oil and gas sector.

- Proficiency in interpreting technical engineering documentation and translating it into contractual terms.

- Strong negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to engage with stakeholders effectively.

- In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and risk assessment.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in Contract Management or a related field is a plus.
