Bike Messenger

Responsibilities

• Deliver documents and packages to designated locations within the city in a timely manner
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients and recipients
• Utilize GPS and map applications to determine the most efficient routes for delivery
• Handle and secure documents and packages to ensure they are protected during transit
• Obtain signatures from recipients and collect payment when necessary
• Maintain accurate delivery records and submit daily activity reports
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the bicycle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Adhere to all traffic rules, regulations, and safety standards while cycling on busy streets
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust delivery schedules accordingly
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate deliveries and provide assistance when needed
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bike Messenger or in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of local streets, landmarks, and traffic patterns
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle time-sensitive deliveries and meet deadlines
• Physical stamina and endurance to cycle for extended periods of time
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
• Proficient in using GPS and map applications
• Knowledge of basic bicycle maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with traffic rules and regulations
• Ability to navigate through heavy traffic and crowded areas
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (if applicable) and clean driving record
