We are currently hiring a Senior Engineer Procurement for a leading engineering and infrastructure organization in the United Arab Emirates.
This role is ideal for procurement professionals with strong technical engineering knowledge and hands-on experience in infrastructure utilities power energy or large-scale construction projects within the UAE or GCC region.
Role Overview
The Senior Engineer Procurement will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for engineering materials equipment and technical services. The role requires close coordination with engineering project management and commercial teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
This position plays a critical role in supporting major infrastructure and utility projects across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement processes for engineering materials MEP systems mechanical and electrical equipment
Review technical specifications drawings BOQs and project requirements
Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs in line with UAE procurement standards
Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations
Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms
Ensure compliance with UAE regulations procurement policies and contractual requirements
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely material delivery
Monitor supplier performance and manage vendor relationships
Support contract administration variations and claims management
- Maintain procurement documentation and reporting systems
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil Engineering or related discipline
Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain (preferred)
Experience Required
812 years of procurement experience in UAE or GCC
Strong background in infrastructure utilities power water oil & gas or construction sectors
Experience handling technical procurement for large-scale projects
Proven expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation
Familiarity with UAE market suppliers and procurement regulations
Key Skills
Technical procurement expertise
Strong commercial and contractual understanding
Knowledge of CAPEX project procurement
Advanced negotiation skills
Strong stakeholder management
ERP systems experience (SAP Oracle or similar preferred)
Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
