As an Internal Audit Intern supporting the MEAAPAC region you will work closely with the Internal Audit team to assist in audit planning execution and reporting activities across multiple countries. You will contribute to strengthening internal controls risk management and governance frameworks while gaining exposure to executive-level interactions and regional operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to understand challenges in hotel operations and internal audit adds value in a complex international hospitality environment.
- Regional Coordination: Assist in synchronizing internal audit efforts across the MEAAPAC regions ensuring alignment with global goals and the smooth execution of audit missions and reports communication.
- Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of internal audits including walkthroughs testing of controls and documentation of audit evidence.
- Internal Control Assessment: Support the preparation and the completion of the yearly self-assessment process at hotel and corporate level.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Help analyse audit data prepare summaries dashboards and draft sections of audit reports.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide operational support by organizing meetings maintaining project timelines and handling documentation related to sustainability projects
- Follow-up & Action Tracking: Assist in monitoring the implementation of agreed management action plans and tracking remediation progress.
- Best Practice Sharing: Contribute to identifying and sharing good practices observed across audits within the MEAAPAC and other regions.
- Ad-hoc Support: Provide support to the Internal Audit team on special projects investigations or governance initiatives as required
Qualifications :
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Masters degree from preferably a hotel business school accounting finance audit or operational background.
- Strong interest in internal audit risk management governance and compliance.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities with the capacity to work with diverse multicultural teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word); data analysis skills are a plus.
- Fluent in English (additional languages such as Arabic or French are an advantage).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced international environment.
- Proactive self-starter attitude with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
