The Editorial team provides our customers with premium differentiated visuals across news sports and entertainment that cover real people events actions and facts. We also grow and maintain one of the worlds most extensive archives of socially significant historical photos footage and prints.
As a dynamic visual storyteller based in Dubai you will drive Getty Images entertainment coverage across the UAE. Youll tap into your well-established regional contacts talent publicists event organizers agencies and brands to secure access to top-tier entertainment events and deliver compelling images that align with Getty Images editorial and commercial vision.
Who You Are:
- A seasoned photographer with deep roots in the UAEs entertainment scene and strong local media and PR contacts.
- Skilled in digital photography and lighting adept at delivering both studio portraiture and dynamic event photography (red carpets concerts premieres festivals trade shows).
- Experienced in fast-paced environments across editorial and commercial shoots capable of independent work and collaboration with editorial teams.
- Experienced transmitting content rapidly (FTP CMS) for editorial and client needs.
- A professional ambassador with impeccable ethics integrity and communication skills.
- Committed to Diversity & Inclusion bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to your work.
Your Next Challenge:
- Capture high-profile entertainment events: Provide comprehensive coverage of red carpets concerts film premieres fashion weeks broadcasts influencer appearances and other entertainment happenings across the UAE.
- Produce compelling imagery: Deliver technically sound visually captivating photos and portraits under tight deadlines; maintain consistency in lighting composition and Getty Images aesthetic standards.
- Operate under pressure: Edit and upload images onsite or remotely using appropriate tools ensuring rapid delivery to meet real-time editorial and commercial demands.
- Leverage local insights: Stay attuned to regional trends talent movements and event calendars; proactively identify compelling photographic opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively: Coordinate with assignment editors producers and fellow photographers; follow briefings while contributing your own creative vision.
- Uphold standards: Secure necessary credentials permissions and releases; adhere to legal privacy and ethical guidelines; represent Getty Images professionally to PR teams talent event organizers and clients.
- Maintain gear readiness: Keep all photography and lighting equipment in optimal condition; always carry backups for reliability during live assignments.
- Travel and flexibility: Be prepared for short- and long-term travel within the UAE and possibly beyond often on short notice; adapt quickly to changing event environments and conditions.
What Youll Need:
- Demonstrable experience photographing major entertainment events in the UAE or the broader Middle East - award shows concerts fashion events celebrity appearances film festivals.
- Strong network of industry contacts: publicists agencies media groups entertainment venues and brands.
- Proficiency in digital editing using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and familiarity with Getty Images CMS/FTP systems.
- Technical expertise across studio lighting on-location photography remote capture digital asset workflows and image transmission.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks swiftly and meet tight deadlines with composure and attention to detail.
- Fluent in Arabic and English with other regional language proficiency a plus.
This is a hybrid role that combines remote work with on-site presence at events.
