  • Oversee the purchasing process for goods and services ensuring alignment with hotel needs and budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Stay informed about market trends and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor inventory levels conduct regular audits and implement efficient stock management practices to minimize waste.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend budget adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with various departments (e.g. kitchen housekeeping) to understand their specific purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities supplier performance and inventory status for management review.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior purchasing staff fostering their development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Address procurement-related issues such as supply disruptions or quality concerns swiftly and effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the purchasing budget ensuring expenditures align with financial goals.
  • Promote sustainable purchasing practices by sourcing eco-friendly products and engaging with responsible suppliers.

Qualifications :

  • Understanding of the complete procurement cycle including sourcing negotiation contract management and vendor evaluation.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques systems and best practices to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Awareness of industry trends market conditions and supplier landscapes to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Familiarity with methods for assessing supplier performance including quality reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes cost analysis and financial reporting related to purchasing activities.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations affecting purchasing including health and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of sustainable purchasing practices and environmentally friendly products and suppliers.
