Job Description
Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Structure Engineer to supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations including platforms concourses foot overbridges and roofing systems. This role is critical to ensuring structural integrity quality and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.
Your role
- Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for OG metro stations including platforms concourses foot overbridges and roofing systems.
- Ensure that all structural works are executed as per approved drawings specifications and relevant codes (IS IRC Eurocode etc.).
- Coordinate with contractors consultants and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Monitor construction progress quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works including non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Review and verify shop drawings method statements and material submittals related to steel structures.
- Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections approvals and quality records.
About you
- Bachelors/masters degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
- Overall 10 years experience with a minimum 5 years on metro rail projects and at least 3 years in steel structure erection and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication welding bolting and erection techniques.
- Familiarity with structural drawings connection detailing and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills
