We are looking for a/anField service engineer (pump equipment) to join our ServicesEUA team in United Arab Emirates.
Sulzer Middle East is looking for afield service engineer responsible for the overhaul repair installation & commissioning of pump equipment to support our client base in the Middle East.Preparing coordinating and carrying out inspections and repairs of all pump types at customer sites inside and outside the country within the specified time and at the estimated cost.
The position is home based or UAE based requiring travel back and forth to the Middle East upon business needs.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Carrying out reparations and inspections inside and outside the country at customer sites.
- Provision of safe and effective site and workshop overhaul repair installation and commissioning services for all rotating equipment.
- Be the first point of contact for allocated customers in respect of any issues relating to agreed onsite scopes of work.
- Develop strong relationships with key client contacts.
- Be responsible for onsite Health & Safety.
- Compile onsite Risk Assessments for scopes of work.
- Lead and supervise onsite repair teams during site contract .
- Provide continuous improvement in repair installation and commissioning activities.
- Develop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunities.
- Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions.
- Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compilation of comprehensive site reports in line with company quality management system.
- Communication: communicates (in English as well) with Supervisor Field Service Site Manager contractors and internal Sulzer Turbo Services departments.
- Writing daily reports.
- Work with: PC MS Office package telephone hand tools lifting equipment and gear induction equipment welding and cutting equipment Sulzer regulations OEM instructions customer rules and regulations and local safety regulations.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Relevant experience of minimum 10 years of working on centrifugal pumps (API610 and rotating equipment.
- Proficient in English.
- Experience working in the Middle East.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data.
