Requirements
- Kitchen managementOversee the kitchen staff including training new staff and managing schedules
- Menu developmentHelp create and maintain menus and recipes and select ingredients
- Food preparationPrepare present and service menu items and ensure quality taste and presentation
- InventoryTrack and order inventory and ensure the kitchen has the necessary tools and supplies
- SafetyEnsure staff and the kitchen adhere to safety regulations and sanitation practices
- CommunicationCommunicate relevant information to kitchen staff and liaise with other departments
- LeadershipProvide supportive leadership to the kitchen staff and represent the head chef in their absence
- Business growthWork with the head chef and general manager to set a plan for growing the business and driving sales
