Job Description
Senior material and corrosion engineer
Responsibilities
Not Limited to the below:
1 Prepares and issues material selection guides for medium size projects and participates in the issuance of material selection guides for major projects
2 Designs specifies reviews and evaluates suppliers documents of cathodic protection systems.
3 Designs specifies and reviews corrosion control techniques such as paintings /coatings and corrosion inhibitors.
4 Reviews and approves Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) / Procedure Qualifications Record (PQR) and welding repair procedures for defected castings.
5 Reviews and approves suitability of material of construction proposed by bidders and providing comments as appropriate to requisitions originators to include in the evaluation questionnaires sent to bidders.
6 Assists in the preparation and issuance of material requisitions (MRQ & MRP) for laboratory equipment and furniture.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of job relevant experience including experience in material engineering in the field of oil and gas.
