The Assistant Sales Manager UK Market is responsible for supporting and driving the sales strategy for the UK leisure segment across Rixos Hotels in the GCC. The role focuses on developing strong relationships with key UK travel partners tour operators and agencies increasing market share and contributing to the overall revenue targets of the region. This position requires strong market knowledge proactive account management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maximize business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Manage and grow assigned accounts within the UK leisure market.
- Support the development and execution of sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Conduct regular sales calls virtual meetings trade visits and communication with UK-based partners.
- Follow up on leads and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
- Maintain up-to-date account profiles production reports and sales plans for each key partner.
Business Development
- Identify new potential partners within the UK market and assist in onboarding them to drive incremental business.
- Monitor UK market trends emerging travel patterns competitor activities and opportunities for Rixos Hotels.
- Assist in preparing sales forecasts market analyses and business strategy proposals.
Contracting & Negotiation
- Support the contracting process for the UK market including rate proposals special offers and allotment requests.
- Assist in negotiating contractual terms under the guidance of the Director of Sales.
- Work closely with Revenue & Distribution teams to ensure rate integrity and adherence to contracting guidelines.
Marketing & Trade Support
- Coordinate marketing and promotional activities with UK partners in alignment with the Sales & Marketing teams.
- Participate in trade shows roadshows UK sales missions and familiarization trips where required.
- Ensure Rixos brand presence is consistently represented across partner platforms.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with hotel sales teams across GCC properties to share market insights and ensure alignment on strategies.
- Coordinate with Reservations Revenue Marketing and Operations teams for seamless execution of UK market requirements.
- Attend weekly and monthly commercial meetings providing updates and insights regarding UK market performance.
Reporting
- Prepare regular sales reports productivity updates and action plans for the UK market.
- Track performance vs. targets and support corrective action where needed.
Additional Information :
- Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in a similar sales role within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Experience handling the UK market or key leisure source markets is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of travel trade dynamics tour operators and distribution channels.
- Knowledge of GCC hospitality landscape is an advantage.
