Job Title: Special Airport Systems (SAS)
Job Summary:
The Special Airport Systems (SAS) Engineer/Manager is responsible for the design integration coordination and implementation of specialized systems critical to airport operations. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with airport-specific systems and infrastructure ensuring seamless integration with the overall airport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning design and execution of SAS including but not limited to:
- Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS)
- Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
- Airport Operational Database (AODB)
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Access Control & CCTV
- Public Address/Voice Alarm (PA/VA) Systems
- Coordinate with stakeholders including airport authorities design consultants IT teams and contractors.
- Review and validate technical specifications drawings and system interfaces.
- Ensure SAS systems comply with international airport standards (e.g. ICAO IATA).
- Manage system integration testing commissioning and handover processes.
- Monitor project timelines budgets and quality for SAS packages.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in electrical Electronics IT or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 8 years of experience specifically with Special Airport Systems on medium to large-scale airport projects (experience is mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of airport operational requirements and system interoperability.
- Familiar with international aviation standards and IT infrastructure frameworks.
- Excellent coordination documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP ITIL or relevant technical certifications.
