To lead and manage all commercial aspects of projects and contracts ensuring profitability compliance with contractual obligations risk mitigation and alignment with corporate objectives. The Commercial Manager will oversee commercial strategy client negotiations contract administration and cost control across EPC/PMC oil and gas projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the commercial team for project(s) ensuring all activities support the strategic and financial goals of the business.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project and business objectives.
- Oversee contract management (pre- and post-award) including review negotiation risk assessment and administration of contracts (FIDIC and other forms).
- Liaise with clients subcontractors and suppliers on commercial matters including claims variations payments and settlements.
- Monitor project budgets forecasts and cash flow to maximize profitability and minimize financial exposure.
- Provide support in bid preparation tender submissions and pricing strategies.
- Ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting (CVR cost/value reconciliations forecasts risk registers).
- Resolve disputes and commercial conflicts in collaboration with legal teams and project managers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms company policies and local laws.
- Coordinate with Finance Legal Procurement and Operations to ensure alignment and transparency.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Quantity Surveying Law or related discipline.
- Minimum 15-18 years of experience in commercial or contracts management roles within EPC or oil & gas industries.
- Strong background in handling large-scale projects preferably with ADNOC or other NOCs/IOCs.
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC EPC contract structures and commercial risk management.
- Proven track record in claims management dispute resolution and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
