About the job:

As a Key Account Manager for Wilhelmsen Ships Service you will be responsible for identifying and building new business while managing existing accounts.

We provide marine solutions including Unitor brand Timm Ropes Unicool refrigerants and Unitor and Nalfleet marine chemicals. Last year we supplied products to 27500 ships. With the largest maritime network we supply consumables products and solutions to all imaginable ship types in more than 2000 ports. At Wilhelmsen we keep global trade going.

The position and what you will do:

  • Drive profitable sales growth on from current and new customers within your portfolio

  • Develop robust and measurable Sales Activity Plans and act assertively to deliver on the agreed targets.

  • Build the sales pipeline to meet the specified targets by focusing on quality opportunities within existing accounts (share of wallet) and new business

  • Ensure the customer portfolio adheres to all terms including credit and that deals generate optimal returns through proactive contract management

  • Collaborate with all key stake holders to manage portfolio growth and drive profitable marine products sales consistently.

  • The customer market area is GCC countries/Middle East.

Required Experience And Skills

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent Marine/ Mechanical Engineering qualification preferred.

  • Experience within the regionparticularly Saudi Arabia or Kuwait is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred to effectively engage with customers in the designated area.

  • Preferably international sales experience in technical sales in maritime.

  • Results oriented and with demonstrated achievements in sales and customer negotiations.

  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers

  • Ability to work independently by planning and organizing own work

  • Ambitious and a strong desire for success with a commercial mindset

  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities

  • IT literate/digital savviness with experience from working with excel MS office CRM systems etc.

  • Proven communication skills and a good command of the English language (verbal and written)
