We are seeking a talented and motivated Jr Sous Chef specializing in Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Jr Sous Chef you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations focusing on the preparation and presentation of cold dishes appetizers and salads.
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing the cold kitchen section
- Prepare and present highquality cold dishes including salads appetizers and desserts
- Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and minimize food waste in the cold kitchen
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in cold food preparation techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Assist in cost control and budget management for the cold kitchen section
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth overall operations
- Participate in menu planning and seasonal menu changes
Qualifications :
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- 23 years of experience in a professional kitchen with a focus on cold kitchen operations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
- Indepth knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Current food safety certification
- Experience in menu planning and recipe development
- Proficiency in inventory management and food cost control
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts particularly in cold dish preparation
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of various cuisines with a focus on cold dishes and international flavors
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools specific to cold food preparation
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
