Strengthens relationship with suppliers in order ensure right product at the right time with right price at the right place.
Focuses on Fast Moving products in order to achieve GP Margin.
Prepare monthly Category reviews and progress chart presentation to Reporting Manager.
Ensures other income from the suppliers.
Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
Responsible for managing inventory and for effectively planning and forecasting to maximize the profitability of the inventory flow
Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
Collaborate with Buyers and Suppliers to expand product categories
Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category.
Qualifications and requirements :
8-14 years experience in Hyper/Supermarket Category Management.
Proven experience as FMCG category manager or similar role
Solid knowledge of FMCG categories and sub-categories and sales principles
