Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality price and reliability.
- Conduct market research and supplier assessments to foster longterm partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to evaluate technical specifications and material requirements.
- Conduct cost analysis and implement costsaving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance of purchased materials and equipment with relevant regulatory standards (e.g. ATEX for explosive atmospheres).
- Maintain accurate records of supplier evaluations inspection reports and quality agreements.
Requirements:
- 810 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or a Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Proficiency in purchasing functions inventory management and supply chain systems.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- UAE experience and a valid UAE driving license are mandatory.
