Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
o Assist in maintaining accurate and uptodate financial records for the marine operations.
o Process daily transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
o Ensure that all financial records comply with the companys accounting standards and UAE regulations.
Invoice Processing:
o Prepare and verify invoices for services and goods provided within the marine industry.
o Ensure proper coding of invoices and ensure timely submission for payment processing.
o Follow up on unpaid invoices and assist in managing the accounts receivable aging report.
Reconciliations:
o Assist in the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
o Assist in reconciling vendor statements ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Financial Reporting Support:
o Prepare routine financial reports such as profit and loss statements balance sheets and expense reports for review by senior accountants or finance managers.
o Support the senior finance team with monthly and annual financial closing processes.
Cost Control Assistance:
o Help monitor expenses related to marine operations ensuring they stay within budget.
o Assist with tracking fuel maintenance and logistics expenses for vessels ensuring accurate allocation of costs.
Payroll Support:
o Assist in processing payroll ensuring proper calculations of salaries overtime and deductions.
o Support with the preparation of payrollrelated reports and tax filings as required by UAE law.
Tax Compliance:
o Help ensure that the company complies with VAT regulations and other applicable tax laws in the UAE.
o Assist with preparing VAT returns submitting them in a timely manner and keeping records of transactions for audits.
Administrative Tasks:
o Assist with filing organizing and maintaining financial documentation.
o Handle general administrative tasks such as data entry supporting the finance team with adhoc requests and ensuring smooth operations.
