Chargehand - Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand Carpenter you will lead and supervise a team of carpenters while ensuring highquality workmanship and adherence to safety standards on various construction projects throughout the city.

• Oversee and coordinate carpentry work on construction sites ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
• Interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to plan and execute carpentry projects
• Assign tasks to team members and provide guidance and support as needed
• Perform advanced carpentry work including framing finishing and custom woodworking
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of completed work
• Collaborate with other trades and project managers to coordinate work schedules and resolve issues
• Enforce safety regulations and best practices on the job site
• Train and mentor junior carpenters to develop their skills and expertise
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to management

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Chargehand in the Bridge Construction Industry
• Advanced carpentry skills and proficiency in various woodworking techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications
• Extensive knowledge of carpentry tools equipment and materials
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills in English both verbal and written
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g. OSHA)
• Thorough understanding of construction industry standards building codes and regulations
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different project sites within Dubai
• Valid UAE drivers license preferred
