Job Title: Accountant
Location: Dubai UAE
Salary: AEDper month.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with exposure to product costing and financial reporting.
Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records managing daytoday accounting functions and assisting in financial reporting. This role includes costing products preparing quotations and supporting the overall financial management of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in product costing and pricing with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
- Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures.
- Prepare financial statements and reports including income statements and balance sheets.
Cost Accounting & Product Costing:
- Calculate product costs by analyzing materials labor overhead and other related expenses.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to maintain accurate cost data.
- Regularly update product cost information to reflect changes in cost structures.
- Analyze cost data to support pricing decisions.
Quotations & Pricing:
- Prepare quotations for customers based on product costs and pricing strategies.
- Work with the sales team to ensure accurate and competitive quotations.
- Track and follow up on quotations for timely responses.
Inventory & Asset Management:
- Support inventory management by ensuring accurate tracking and valuation of stock.
- Assist with stock reconciliations and maintain uptodate inventory records.
- Help implement inventory control procedures.
Cash Flow & Financial Efficiency:
- Assist in monitoring cash flow to ensure the company meets its financial obligations.
- Identify potential costsaving opportunities in daily operations.
Audit & Compliance:
- Prepare documents and reports for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and other tax regulations including preparation for tax filings.
- Support the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
AdHoc Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide financial insights and analysis to management as needed.
- Assist in special projects and support the finance team as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting with exposure to product costing and financial reporting.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with product costing and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
