Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a wellknown Insurance provider based in Dubai. Our client is looking to hire a manager who will be responsible for managing the clients underwriting team and drive the team to achieve their targets.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead and manage the motor underwriting team ensuring they are welltrained and equipped to perform their roles effectively
Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies for motor insurance products to ensure they meet company standards and market needs.
Collaborate closely with the actuarial team to ensure that motor insurance products are accurately priced and aligned with risk assessments.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure motor insurance products remain competitive and compliant with current standards.
Expand the product portfolio by developing new motor insurance offerings that address customer needs and market demand.
Oversee a highvalue vehicle portfolio ensuring underwriting decisions strike a balance between risk and profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including brokers and reinsurance partners to support business growth.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences to stay informed on trends best practices and emerging issues.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in finance business insurance or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g. CPCU) are advantageous.
At least 35 years of experience in underwriting with a focus on motor insurance and proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership analytical and decisionmaking skills.
Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office.
