Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our elder healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics with a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of elderly patients. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing nutrition plans that cater to the unique needs of our senior residents ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the dietary needs of elderly patients based on their health conditions lifestyle and preferences.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans to manage or prevent chronic illnesses such as diabetes heart disease and malnutrition.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary interventions and make adjustments as needed.
- Provide education to patients families and caregivers on proper nutrition healthy eating habits and special dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including doctors and nurses to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards related to nutrition and food safety.
- Keep accurate records of patient assessments care plans and progress reports.
- Stay informed about the latest research and trends in dietetics and geriatric nutrition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Dietetics Nutrition or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid DHA license or eligibility to obtain one.
- A minimum of 35 years of experience as a dietitian with a focus on elderly care or clinical nutrition.
- Strong knowledge of nutritionrelated diseases and conditions is common in older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
