Lines Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated EIT to P.Eng Lines Engineer to join our team on a variety of current and upcoming projects. The role primarily involves making quick decisions on models in the field, with the support team making official changes and issuing finalized designs. The project involves working on a 1800km power line featuring 18 substations, where you will be responsible for integrating a 25KV distribution line to meet specific standards and requirements. This includes tapping into existing 25KV OH distribution lines, with variability in the number of poles across different communities. Familiarity with drawing packages is essential, as the role involves responding to site inquiries about placements and field representations, as well as addressing issues with structures deviating from original designs.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Calgary, Alberta and some days remote.

Work Environment

The position is based in SE Calgary, within a collaborative team of approximately 16 engineers and designers. A hybrid work model is supported, allowing for two days of remote work and three days on-site per week.
