PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the job of an Electrical Inspector is to ensure that electrical installations and systems within construction projects comply with relevant codes standards and safety regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and safety of electrical work preventing hazards and ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems installations and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications codes and standards.
- Verify that electrical work is performed in accordance with approved plans specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports including findings deficiencies and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections tests and other quality control activities.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant local national and international codes and regulations.
- Stay updated with changes in electrical codes and standards and apply this knowledge to inspections.
- Coordinate with project managers engineers contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend project meetings and provide input on electrical inspection and quality control issues.
- Identify and resolve issues related to electrical installations and quality control.
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors and project teams to address and rectify noncompliance issues.
- Ensure that all electrical work adheres to safety standards and protocols to minimize risks.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality within the project team and among contractors.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical inspection with a strong background in design consulting companies.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical codes standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in inspecting and testing electrical systems in largescale projects.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
