What You'll Be Doing

- Reviewing all MEP submittals and ensuring compliance of MEP infrastructure & streetlighting works to design requirements, specifications and project plan.
- Identifying non-conforming work or materials, notifying the contractor and keeping the proper records.
- Collaborating with engineers and technicians to design and apply new system processes, evaluating systems’ safety, reliability, and performance.
- Monitoring maintenance and inspection plans and following up corrective and preventive measure taken by the contractor.
- Inspecting the work performed by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the contract's documents and accepted practices.
- Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of landscaping works and associated items.
- Coordinate his direct activities with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing of shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities including correspondence related to the electrical landscaping section and prepare replies for the review of the Resident Engineer.
- Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers for resolution of related issues.
- Convene and chair special technical meetings with the service authorities, the contractor, subcontractors and other parties related to electrical work.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Prepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
- Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer and the project safety representatives.
- Provide all necessary on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer to issue site instructions with respect to electrical landscaping works and associated items.
- Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings within his line of work.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- 'University BSc Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years engineering experience and, depending on the assignment, a minimum of 5 years' experience in the specific infrastructure & street lighting works.
- Proficient experience in electrical engineering on streetlighting projects involving design and construction of electrical systems.
- Experience in the factory acceptance and other testing and commissioning activities of these systems.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Proven ability to perform key technical role.
- Registered as a practicing Engineer in Abu Dhabi or having an equivalency certificate issued by Ministry of Education.
