THE OPPORTUNITY

Do you have what it takes to co-own the design and development of internal tools while building a maintainable architecture for the future development of our cutting-edge mobile mapping technology?

As an Advanced System Software Engineer, you will work as an integral part of our creative Design and Engineering, Team together with Electrical Engineers, Production and Test Engineering as well as our Quality team developing and supporting the next generation of our products.

We are seeking a highly sed and motivated software engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that support the design and development of electrical systems for our products. This includes, among others, production tools written in Python with GUIs for user interaction, as well as automated hardware testing tools which help our Production and Support teams identify issues early on and collect data for further ysis. The chance to work on a wide range of tasks will keep daily work engaging, challenging and rewarding.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• You will design, implement and maintain software tools to support the development and testing of electrical systems
• You will take co-ownership of our entire Electrical Engineering and Production Tooling codebase, toolchain, and development process
• You will work closely with other software teams as well as build automated testing tools which are used by our Support, Quality and Production teams
• You will make proactive recommendations for new tools and technologies that could benefit our team and company
• You will get the chance to participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members
• You will be staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends in order to apply this knowledge to your work

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of professional experience in system software development, with a focus on Python and Linux
• Excellent Python ss with a track record of successful and maintainable deliverables
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems and embedded platforms
• C/C++ ss for driver development as well as embedded systems
• Ability to understand and discuss electrical systems and architecture
• Good problem-solving ss combined with the ability to think on your feet and work independently when needed
• Excellent communication ss in English to thrive in an international environment and collaborate with the rest of our team

What would be even better?

• Experience with test engineering and automating hardware testing (Hardware in the Loop)
• Experience in FPGA development with VHDL
