Assistant Tax Manager

Resposibilities

Robert Walters is working with a globally known organisation who is keen to hire a hands-on Assistant Tax Manager for their growing team in the region who can handle a wide scope of responsibilties that include:

• Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
• Conduct research on tax issues and assist in implementing tax planning strategies.
• Support tax audits and inquiries by providing necessary documentation and explanations to tax authorities.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather required financial data for tax reporting purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to management.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls related to tax compliance.
• Prepare tax provisions and reconcile tax accounts during month-end and year-end closing processes.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of local and international tax laws.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Tax Manager or similar role in a multinational.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
